A <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.it.ox.ac.uk\/edu-it-turnitin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">staff survey<\/a> was conducted during September 2017.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/tii\/files\/2016\/02\/mag_dict.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-678\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/tii\/files\/2016\/02\/mag_dict-300x261.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"261\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/tii\/files\/2016\/02\/mag_dict-300x261.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/tii\/files\/2016\/02\/mag_dict.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Details about the review, including a summary of survey findings and reasons for the recommendations, are available from the <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.it.ox.ac.uk\/edu-it-turnitin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Turnitin and iThenticate Review<\/a> web page.<\/p>\n<p>Based on findings from the survey, (completed by 93 staff members), along with information gathered from the higher education sector, the project recommended:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Retain licences for both Turnitin and iThenticate<\/li>\n<li>Review expected improved product offerings, including those of possible competitors, after November 2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the meantime, there is potential to enhance service provision, and to increase awareness across the University about Turnitin and iThenticate, and their intended purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Contact us if you have any questions: <a href=\"mailto:edu-it@it.ox.ac.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">edu-it@it.ox.ac.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Turnitin and iThenticate Review project aimed to find out if Oxford&#8217;s plagiarism screening and awareness tools\u00a0(including Turnitin and iThenticate) continue to meet the needs of staff and students.
