We’ve been planning our two further RunCoCo training events, the next will be in Aberystwyth on 27 July.<\/p>\n
Dissemination<\/strong><\/p>\n

- presented at a JISC e-Content programme meeting<\/a><\/li>\n
- presented a RunCoCo course Make: Open<\/a> (Crowding together) in Oxford<\/li>\n
- prepared for filming about the impact of The Great War Archive<\/a> community collection for JISC<\/li>\n
- took part in the first meeting of a new OUCS SIG (special interest group) to look at how IT can assist with impact, widening participation and outreach activities of the university<\/li>\n
- took part in an advisory board meeting for the Mapping Crime<\/a> project<\/li>\n
- met with Chris Wild from The Retroscope<\/a><\/li>\n
- adverts for Oxford internal publications, OUCS news<\/a> and the University of Oxford Blueprint<\/a>, were published and we displayed two posters during Oxford Artweeks<\/a><\/li>\n
- contributed to discussions on the Google Group (set-up as a forum for community collection projects to communicate<\/a> online)<\/li>\n
- posted to this project blog<\/a><\/li>\n
- engaged (via Twitter<\/a>) with national cultural heritage managers, other managers from the JISC e-Content and digitisation programme<\/a> and experts in digitisation and user-generated content <\/a><\/li>\n
- answered enquiries<\/a>, in particular from managers setting up some very different bids for funding from the JISC Developing Community Content<\/a> call<\/li>\n
- used Delicious<\/a> to link to interesting material online (you can see the latest links and Twitter conversations in the side margin of this blog)<\/li>\n
- continue to collaborate in the writing of a bid to Europeana<\/a>, as well as discussing a number of potential activities in Europe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Community Contributed Collection software (CoCoCo)<\/strong><\/p>\n

- development continues of the open-source CoCoCo software<\/a> which facilitates the online collection of digital objects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Exemplar community collection<\/strong><\/p>\n
Worked with the exemplar project – Woruldhord<\/a> mainly on setting-up their use of the CoCoCo software, as well as ensuring they have a server correctly configured, and user-documentation on their new website.<\/p>\n
