for Oxford projects (<a title=\"To the programme and links to resources page\" href=\"http:\/\/projects.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/events\/5May\/index.html\">programme and links to resources<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Weds 26th May 2010, Oxford, open to all (<a title=\"To the programme and links to resources page\" href=\"http:\/\/projects.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/events\/26May\/index.html\">programme and links to resources<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We&#8217;ve been planning our two further RunCoCo training events, the next will be in Aberystwyth on 27 July.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Dissemination<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>presented at a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/digitisation\">JISC e-Content programme meeting<\/a><\/li>\n<li>presented a RunCoCo course <a title=\"OUCS Make series of  courses\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/ltgevents\/2010\/04\/21\/creative-use-of-technology-in-research-and-teaching\/\">Make:  Open<\/a> (Crowding together) in Oxford<\/li>\n<li>prepared for filming about the impact of <a title=\"The Great War Archive\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/ww1lit\/gwa\/\">The Great War Archive<\/a> community collection for JISC<\/li>\n<li>took part in the first meeting of a new OUCS SIG (special interest  group) to look at how IT can assist with impact, widening participation  and outreach activities of the university<\/li>\n<li>took part in an advisory board meeting for the <a title=\"RunCoCo blog about Mapping Crime meeting\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/2010\/05\/15\/mapping-crime\/\">Mapping Crime<\/a> project<\/li>\n<li>met with <a title=\"RunCoCo meet a time traveller\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/2010\/05\/12\/retronaut\/\">Chris Wild from The Retroscope<\/a><\/li>\n<li>adverts for Oxford internal publications, <a title=\"OUCS  news\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/publicity\/index.xml.ID=news\">OUCS  news<\/a> and the University of Oxford <a title=\"Blueprint\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ox.ac.uk\/staff\/publications\/blueprint\/index.html\">Blueprint<\/a>, were published and we displayed two posters during <a title=\"Oxford Artweeks\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/publicity\/artweeks\/index.xml\">Oxford Artweeks<\/a><\/li>\n<li>contributed to discussions on the Google Group (set-up as <a title=\"COmmunity collection Google Group\" href=\"http:\/\/groups.google.com\/group\/runcoco\">a forum for community collection projects to communicate<\/a> online)<\/li>\n<li>posted to this project <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/\">blog<\/a><\/li>\n<li>engaged (via <a title=\"Follow RunCoCo on Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/RunCoCo\">Twitter<\/a>) with national cultural heritage managers, other managers from <a title=\"JISC\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/whatwedo\/programmes\/digitisation\/econtent.aspx\">the JISC e-Content and digitisation programme<\/a> and experts in digitisation and user-generated content <a title=\"Follow RunCoCo on Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/RunCoCo\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li>answered <a title=\"Email RunCoCo project\" href=\"mailto:runcoco@oucs.ox.ac.uk?subject=Contact%20from%20blog\">enquiries<\/a>, in particular from managers setting up some very different bids for funding from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/fundingopportunities\/funding_calls\/2009\/12\/1309bce.aspx\">JISC   Developing Community Content<\/a> call<\/li>\n<li>used <a href=\"http:\/\/delicious.com\/RunCoCo\">Delicious<\/a> to link to interesting material online (you can see the latest links and Twitter conversations in the side margin of this blog)<\/li>\n<li>continue to collaborate in the writing of a bid to <a title=\"RunCoCo blog post about Europeana\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/2010\/02\/24\/europeana\/\">Europeana<\/a>, as well as discussing a number of potential activities in Europe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/ltgevents\/2010\/04\/21\/creative-use-of-technology-in-research-and-teaching\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"OUCS make (series of courses)\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/ltgevents\/files\/2010\/04\/make-animation.gif\" alt=\"RunCoCo present about Crowding together Tue 11 May12:30-13:30, OUCS\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">RunCoCo present about &quot;Crowding together&quot; Tue 11 May12:30-13:30, OUCS<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Community Contributed Collection software (CoCoCo)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>development continues of the open-source <a title=\"RunCoCo  software CoCoCo\" href=\"http:\/\/projects.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/resources\/cococo.html\">CoCoCo software<\/a> which facilitates the online collection of digital  objects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Exemplar community collection<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Worked with the exemplar project &#8211; <a title=\"RunCoCo blog post about Project Woruldhord\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/2010\/02\/24\/woruldhord-first-moot\/\">Woruldhord<\/a> mainly on setting-up their use of the CoCoCo software, as well as ensuring they have a server correctly configured, and user-documentation on their new website.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\">Next month we  will&#8230;<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>complete development of the CoCoCo software<\/li>\n<li>continue working with the exemplar project (with Dr Stuart Lee)<\/li>\n<li>submit the collaboratively-written bid to Europeana<\/li>\n<li>continue writing training documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">We use this blog to let you know about our training documentation and workshops, and any other news.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In May we have&#8230;
