{"id":183,"date":"2010-03-05T16:49:34","date_gmt":"2010-03-05T15:49:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/?p=183"},"modified":"2010-06-09T13:00:23","modified_gmt":"2010-06-09T12:00:23","slug":"update-02","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/2010\/03\/05\/update-02\/","title":{"rendered":"Update Feb-Mar 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: left\">In February we  have&#8230;<\/h4>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>worked with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/webdesign\/\">Oxford University Web Design Consultancy<\/a> to create our new <a title=\"RunCoCo project website\" href=\"http:\/\/runcoco.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/\">project website<\/a><\/li>\n<li>our detailed project plan and work-package plans have been accepted by the <a title=\"JISC\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/whatwedo\/programmes\/digitisation.aspx\">JISC  programme<\/a> manager and our University of Oxford department  management, and you can read them on our <a title=\"RunCoCo project documentation\" href=\"http:\/\/projects.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/about\/documentation.html\">project website<\/a><\/li>\n<li>advertised to <a title=\"RunCoCo project job opportunity\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/2010\/03\/02\/job-opportunity\/\">recruit a project officer<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Dissemination<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>content is still going up on our <a title=\"RunCoCo project website\" href=\"http:\/\/runcoco.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/\">project website<\/a><\/li>\n<li>posted to this project <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/\">blog<\/a><\/li>\n<li>engaged (via <a title=\"Follow RunCoCo on Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/RunCoCo\">Twitter<\/a>) with national cultural heritage managers, other managers from <a title=\"JISC\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/whatwedo\/programmes\/digitisation\/econtent.aspx\">the JISC e-Content and digitisation programme<\/a> and experts in digitisation and user-generated content <a title=\"Follow RunCoCo on Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/RunCoCo\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li>answered <a title=\"Email RunCoCo project\" href=\"mailto:runcoco@oucs.ox.ac.uk?subject=Contact%20from%20blog\">enquiries<\/a>, in particular from managers setting up some very different bids for funding from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/fundingopportunities\/funding_calls\/2009\/12\/1309bce.aspx\">JISC   Developing Community Content<\/a> call<\/li>\n<li>used <a href=\"http:\/\/delicious.com\/RunCoCo\">Delicious<\/a> to link to interesting material online (you can see the latest links and Twitter conversations in the side margin of this blog)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Community Contributed Collection software (CoCoCo)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>started further development of the open-source <a title=\"RunCoCo  software CoCoCo\" href=\"http:\/\/projects.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/resources\/cococo.html\">CoCoCo    software<\/a> which facilitates the online collection of digital  objects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Exemplar community collection<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>started to work with the exemplar project &#8211; <a title=\"RunCoCo blog post about Project Woruldhord\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/2010\/02\/24\/woruldhord-first-moot\/\">Project Woruldhord<\/a> &#8211; which will run a community  collection based around  the study and teaching of Anglo-Saxon history  and literature and  language<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">In addition to planned work,\u00a0we have assisted the JISC Funding Board reach their decision about the rapid user innovation strand of  the <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/fundingopportunities\/funding_calls\/2009\/12\/1309bce.aspx\">Developing Community Content<\/a><\/em> call, and started to work with the <a title=\"RunCoCo blog post about Europeana\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/runcoco\/2010\/02\/24\/europeana\/\">Europeana online service<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\">Next month we  will&#8230;<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>continue planning for the 4 free  training workshops to be held in Oxford and around the UK.
