Realise your own idea<\/h3>\n

The Summer of Innovation is a funding scheme to help you realise innovative ideas as\u00a0<\/span><\/span>digital projects<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0It is similar to an internship, but allows you to work on a\u00a0project based on your own idea. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This year we\u00a0welcome ideas\u00a0that focus on\u00a0Digital Innovation for Teaching and Learning<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0as well as any other ideas that bring benefit to the University, its staff and students.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Learn new skills<\/h3>\n

This scheme is for you if<\/span>\u00a0you are open to learning new, transferable skills and collaborating.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>No programming skills are needed and developers in IT Services will support you with your project. We will also support you with the administration of your project. An IT Innovation Challenges project is a great place to learn about project management, collaboration and communication. This scheme is also a fantastic\u00a0networking<\/span><\/span>\u00a0opportunity.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Get paid for your work<\/h3>\n

The University will employ you on\u00a0a casual, temporary employment contract with IT Services.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Depending on your availability in the summer, you can choose the length of your project\u00a0as long as\u00a0it is between 6-10 weeks long.<\/p>\n

Who can apply<\/h3>\n

The Summer of Innovation\u00a0is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students.\u00a0More information is provided in the\u00a0FAQs<\/a>.<\/p>\n
