{"id":769,"date":"2010-08-12T17:27:59","date_gmt":"2010-08-12T16:27:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/?p=769"},"modified":"2010-08-12T17:31:40","modified_gmt":"2010-08-12T16:31:40","slug":"new-version-of-weblearn-released-v2-6-ox4-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/2010\/08\/new-version-of-weblearn-released-v2-6-ox4-0\/","title":{"rendered":"New Version of WebLearn Released (v2.6-ox4.0)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apologies for the delay in this announcement!<\/p>\n<p>New WebLearn was upgraded on 20th July 2010,\u00a0  to 2.6-ox4.0<\/p>\n<h3>New Facilities \u2013 The Highlights<\/h3>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Users can now become members of &#8216;Joinable&#8217; sites by simply  visiting the site &#8211; previously one had to join via the &#8216;Memberships&#8217;  tool in &#8216;My Workspace&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Tasks, Tests and Surveys&#8217; has been renamed as &#8216;Tests&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>New &#8216;Survey Beta&#8217; tool added &#8211; this tool was previously called  &#8216;Evaluations&#8217; &#8211; please note that there are still a few issues with this  tool hence its Beta status<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/oauth.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">oAuth<\/a>&#8216; authentication now available for files stored in &#8216;Resources&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>IMS Content Packages of less than 60MB can now be uploaded into  Resources via &#8216;Site Info&#8217; &gt; &#8216;Import From File&#8217;, please note that this  is now the preferred export route from Old WebLearn<\/li>\n<li>The &#8216;fairuse&#8217; copyright link has been changed to point at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jisclegal.ac.uk\/ManageContent\/ViewDetail\/tabid\/243\/ID\/86\/Intellectual-Property-Law-Essentials-01062007.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">JISC Legal website<\/a><\/li>\n<li>A number of bug related to the Survey Beta (Evaluations) have been fixed. The release notes contain <a href=\"https:\/\/weblearn.ox.ac.uk\/access\/content\/public\/System%20notices\/upgrade-to-v2p6-ox4p0.html\">a more detailed list of Survey Beta bug fixes<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<h3>Deprecated Tools<\/h3>\n<p>Two tools, &#8216;Blogger&#8217; and &#8216;Presentations&#8217; will soon not be supported  by the Sakai community therefore we have taken the decision to remove  them from the tools list.<\/p>\n<h3>More Information<\/h3>\n<p>There is a separate document containing <a href=\"https:\/\/weblearn.ox.ac.uk\/access\/content\/public\/System%20notices\/upgrade-to-v2p6-ox4p0.html\">a more detailed list of changes<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apologies for the delay in this announcement!
