{"id":5482,"date":"2016-11-30T14:28:10","date_gmt":"2016-11-30T14:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/?p=5482"},"modified":"2016-11-30T14:56:08","modified_gmt":"2016-11-30T14:56:08","slug":"weblearn-v11-ox3-released-on-29-november-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/2016\/11\/weblearn-v11-ox3-released-on-29-november-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"WebLearn v11-ox3 released on 29 November 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-5129\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/files\/2016\/08\/responsive-sakai-1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"responsive-sakai\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/files\/2016\/08\/responsive-sakai-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/files\/2016\/08\/responsive-sakai-1-768x431.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/files\/2016\/08\/responsive-sakai-1-1024x575.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>WebLearn was been upgraded to Version 11-ox3 on the morning on Tuesday 29th November, we apologise\u00a0for any inconvenience caused by the disruption.<\/p>\n<h2>Improvements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Images, iframe, videos and the like should now auto resize on a mobile<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;Tools &amp; Subsites&#8221; menu on a mobile has a better design &#8211; it now matches other WebLearn menus and text is not truncated<\/li>\n<li>Resources\n<ul>\n<li>The file upload limit is now set at 100MB &#8211; this means larger files can be uploaded without having to use WebDAV<\/li>\n<li>The hyperlink to information about copyright (in Resources) now goes to a special Bodleian Libraries information page<\/li>\n<li>One can no longer accidentally edit a Reading List whilst it is loading &#8211; this was causing problems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You can use the Lynda.com &#8216;video embed code&#8217; within the Lessons tool and Forums &#8211; this makes it easier to use lynda.com videos as part of a course.<\/li>\n<li>Lessons\n<ul>\n<li>Embedded calendars now shrink correctly when viewed on a mobile phone<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Blockquotes&#8221; are now displayed correctly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Surveys\n<ul>\n<li>can now be completed on a mobile phone<\/li>\n<li>the &#8220;stepped display&#8221; now has the correct &#8220;tool tip&#8221; (ie, mouse-over) text<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The &#8216;Select Login Route\u2019 page now has the WebLearn logo<\/li>\n<li>The Sign-Up tool &#8220;Reminder Email&#8221; now comes from meeting organiser<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0Account Validation page (for external users) has been overhauled, it now\n<ul>\n<li>contains the WebLearn logo<\/li>\n<li>has a password strength meter<\/li>\n<li>only reports on password mismatch once two passwords have been entered<\/li>\n<li>has a better layout with checkboxes aligned correctly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;My Home&#8221;\n<ul>\n<li>The &#8220;Account&#8221; page now has the &#8216;Cancel&#8217; and &#8216;Update&#8217; buttons in the expected order<\/li>\n<li>Mentions of &#8220;My Workspace&#8221; have been changed to &#8220;My Home&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Long lists of Favourite sites now wrap in Internet Explorer<\/li>\n<li>Fields in the &#8220;Contact Us&#8221; tool now have the correct all labels and the browser tab has a name<\/li>\n<li>Calendar\n<ul>\n<li>The tool now has better colours<\/li>\n<li>The &#8220;synoptic&#8221; calendar on the front page of a site (and in My Home) now uses the correct icons<\/li>\n<li>The Oxford event types have been added back to the Calendar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Suspended students are now removed when the related Participant Group is removed<\/li>\n<li>OXAM (the database of past exam papers) is now fully responsive, it will resize\u00a0correctly on a mobile phone<\/li>\n<li>The superfluous &#8220;Create New Site&#8221; links at the top right of every page have been removed<\/li>\n<li>All links to the now defunct Mobile Oxford &#8211; WebLearn Gateway have been removed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, all WebLearn work for the &#8220;Anonymous Essay Submission&#8221; project is now complete &#8211; watch this space for more information when the student data becomes available<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WebLearn was been upgraded to Version 11-ox3 on the morning on Tuesday 29th November, we apologise\u00a0for any inconvenience caused by the disruption.
