{"id":5280,"date":"2016-10-12T17:37:36","date_gmt":"2016-10-12T16:37:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/?p=5280"},"modified":"2016-10-12T17:37:36","modified_gmt":"2016-10-12T16:37:36","slug":"weblearn-upgraded-to-version-11-ox2-on-7-october-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/2016\/10\/weblearn-upgraded-to-version-11-ox2-on-7-october-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"WebLearn upgraded to Version 11-ox2\u00a0on 7 October\u00a02016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WebLearn was upgraded \u00a0to version 11-ox2 on 7th\u00a0October\u00a02016.\u00a0This release addresses some minor\u00a0issues with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/2016\/09\/whats-new-in-weblearn-11\/\" target=\"_blank\">WebLearn 11<\/a>\u00a0and introduces some new functionality.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to suggest improvements to WebLearn then please do so by contributing to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/weblearn.uservoice.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">WebLearn User Voice feedback service<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Improvements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Lessons Tool<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The <em>Add Resources Folder<\/em>\u00a0page component\u00a0now displays optimally<\/li>\n<li>It is now possible to add\u00a0sub-pages within student pages<\/li>\n<li>The <em>LB-CSS<\/em> folder (which is used to store uploaded CSS) is now hidden by default<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Contact Us<\/strong> tool has been re-added to all sites<\/li>\n<li><strong>Assignments<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-5282\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/files\/2016\/10\/quick-links-190x300.png\" alt=\"quick-links\" width=\"190\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/files\/2016\/10\/quick-links-190x300.png 190w, https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/files\/2016\/10\/quick-links.png 384w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 190px) 100vw, 190px\" \/><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>the attached Marked file is now accessible to\u00a0students<\/li>\n<li>Anonymous submission has been enabled;\u00a0please note that this is part of a project sponsored by the Exams Department which will eventually allow official Candidate IDs and Specific Learning Difficulty notices to be surfaced in WebLearn &#8211; more information will be available in due course<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Navigation<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The display of the <em>Quick Links<\/em> menu has been improved<\/li>\n<li>The display of the LHS <em>Tool Menu<\/em>\u00a0has been improved<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Site Info\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Two new Participant Groups have been added;\u00a0each colleges now has\u00a0an &#8220;Undergraduate&#8221; group and each course has a &#8220;Graduand&#8221; group<\/li>\n<li>One can now export a list of site participants<\/li>\n<li>When editing the description of a site via<em> Edit Site Information, <\/em>the\u00a0<em>target=&#8221;_blank&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0attribute is now automatically\u00a0added to all\u00a0non-secure\u00a0hyperlinks\u00a0&#8211; this will ensure that links to external <em>http\u00a0<\/em>websites will open correctly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Resources<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-5281\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/files\/2016\/10\/editor-templates-259x300.png\" alt=\"editor-templates\" width=\"259\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/files\/2016\/10\/editor-templates-259x300.png 259w, https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/files\/2016\/10\/editor-templates.png 469w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 259px) 100vw, 259px\" \/><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Explicit instructions are now provided for users who wish to upload files without using drag and drop<\/li>\n<li>Hidden folder names can no longer be\u00a0mistakenly seen in the &#8220;access view&#8221; of resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>WYSIWYG HTML editor<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The frequency of <em>auto-save<\/em> has been decreased<\/li>\n<li>The list of <em>page templates<\/em> has been reordered<\/li>\n<li>Tables no longer ignore <em>Cell Padding<\/em> and <em>Cell Spacing<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Additional Verification<\/strong> (AV) sites: if appropriate, the <em>Request SMS Code<\/em>\u00a0page\u00a0is now displayed when one does not yet have permission to access a document<\/li>\n<li><strong>Surveys<\/strong>: the <em>Assign This Survey<\/em>\u00a0page no longer has scroll bars<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WebLearn was upgraded \u00a0to version 11-ox2 on 7th\u00a0October\u00a02016.\u00a0This release addresses some minor\u00a0issues with\u00a0WebLearn 11\u00a0and introduces some new functionality.
