Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience that these problems may have caused.<\/p>\n<p>The 11-ox1.1 release has addressed a number of issues with the <strong>Lessons<\/strong> tool, introduced wider <strong>LHS buttons<\/strong> so that labels\u00a0are no longer truncated, and fixed issues with adding multiple\u00a0<strong>IMS LTI<\/strong> tools, uploading to\u00a0<strong>Resources<\/strong>, <strong>Chat<\/strong> and <strong>Sign-up<\/strong>. We have also updated WebLearn&#8217;s content filters\u00a0so audio and video\u00a0from <strong>podcasts.ox.ac.uk<\/strong> can be embedded on pages.<\/p>\n<p>Some users may experience\u00a0display\u00a0issues which can be cured\u00a0by\u00a0<strong>forcing a page refresh.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>For Windows press\u00a0<strong>Ctrl\u00a0&amp;\u00a0F5<\/strong>; for Mac\/Apple press<strong>\u00a0Apple + R<\/strong> or cmd + R; for Linux press\u00a0<strong>F5<\/strong>. This website will explain\u00a0in more detail:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.refreshyourcache.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.refreshyourcache.com\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to suggest further improvements then please do so by contributing to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/weblearn.uservoice.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">WebLearn User Voice feedback service<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Known Issues<\/h3>\n<p>The following are still known to be causing minor problems. We will be addressing these as a matter of urgency and hope to have fixes in place by the start of term (or very soon after).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the<strong> Contact Us<\/strong>\u00a0tool is missing from most sites &#8211; now fixed<\/li>\n<li>the <strong>Site Icon<\/strong> is now a little oversized &#8211; now fixed<\/li>\n<li><strong>images, tables <\/strong>and <strong>iframes<\/strong>\u00a0when added via the HTML WYSIWYG editor are non-responsive, i.e. they do not shrink when viewed on a mobile<\/li>\n<li>some\u00a0<strong>HTML tables<\/strong>\u00a0ignore the \u2018cellpadding\u2019 and \u2018cellspacing\u2019 attributes\u00a0\u2013 we will address this as soon as possible<\/li>\n<li>some pages, for example,\u00a0<strong>Choose Login Route<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Validate Your Account<\/strong>, do not yet display\u00a0the WebLearn logo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are also some known issues that only affect WebLearn when used on a mobile phone and these will take slightly longer to fix, one example is that some of the less well-used tools (for example,<strong>\u00a0Tests\u00a0<\/strong>and the<strong>\u00a0Researcher Training Tool<\/strong>) are\u00a0not yet optimised for small-screen usage.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, <strong>Windows 10<\/strong> seems to have a problem with its WebDAV implementation. When trying to map a network drive to a WebLearn site, it occasionally reports a &#8220;Network Error&#8221;. The problem is not apparent when using a dedicated WebDAV client such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cyberduck.io\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cyberduck<\/a>\u00a0(<\/strong>which can be downloaded free of charge) so we would recommend this approach to all Windows 10 users. All other versions of Windows seem to work without issue.<\/p>\n<h3>Full List of Changes<\/h3>\n<p>If you would like more details about these changes then please contact the\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:weblearn@it.ox.ac.uk?subject=Tell%20me%20more%20about%20WebLearn\">Service Desk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lessons Tool\n<ul>\n<li>images and\u00a0videos\u00a0are now responsive when added to a Lessons page using the &#8220;Embed&#8221; option &#8211; note that images inserted via the WYSIWYG HTML editor do not yet shrink on a mobile phone<\/li>\n<li>the problems with content not being saved to a page have been fixed<\/li>\n<li>version information has been added to all JavaScript and CSS references which should stop problems with\u00a0cached pages<\/li>\n<li>it is now possible to embed a Resources folder listing<\/li>\n<li>embedded Announcement and Forums summaries now display better<\/li>\n<li>the &#8220;back&#8221; and &#8220;next&#8221; buttons are now present<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Navigation\n<ul>\n<li>tool and sub-site labels are no longer truncated in the LHS menu and display better on a mobile phone<\/li>\n<li>the\u00a0LHS sub-site labels are\u00a0now removed when the menu is collapsed and\u00a0fly\u00a0out upon mouse-over<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Others\n<ul>\n<li>the Site Members tool now has the correct name and doesn&#8217;t give an error if you are not logged in<\/li>\n<li>service-wide announcements no longer obscure the screen on a mobile<\/li>\n<li>chat now displays correctly when\u00a0the transcript contains a hyperlink<\/li>\n<li>the problems which prevented participants with the &#8216;access&#8217; role from uploading into Resources have been fixed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WebLearn was upgraded \u00a0to version 11-ox1.1\u00a0on 16th September\u00a02016.\u00a0This release addresses most of the known major issues with\u00a0WebLearn 11.
