{"id":3509,"date":"2014-07-08T14:49:45","date_gmt":"2014-07-08T13:49:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/?p=3509"},"modified":"2014-07-09T15:26:50","modified_gmt":"2014-07-09T14:26:50","slug":"copyright-changes-accessibility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/2014\/07\/copyright-changes-accessibility\/","title":{"rendered":"Copyright changes &#8211; Accessibility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JISC legal presented an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jisctechdis.ac.uk\/techdis\/events\/detail\/2014\/tdtuesday08072014\" target=\"_blank\">online webinar <\/a>on 8 July 2014,\u00a0focusing on the disability exception in the light of the copyright changes that came into effect on 1 June 2014. (See more information via the links below.)<\/p>\n<p>In general, &#8216;restricted acts&#8217; under copyright law refer to &#8220;copying, adapting, transmitting, disseminating and communicating a work to the public&#8221; (JISC seminar). To do any of these things, one must either be the copyright holder, or get permission from the copyright holder, or\u00a0have permission via a licence such as the CLA or creative commons.
