{"id":2251,"date":"2012-11-09T16:21:48","date_gmt":"2012-11-09T16:21:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oucs.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/?p=2251"},"modified":"2012-11-14T17:16:16","modified_gmt":"2012-11-14T17:16:16","slug":"byte-sized-surveys-tool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs-new.it.ox.ac.uk\/adamweblearn\/2012\/11\/byte-sized-surveys-tool\/","title":{"rendered":"Byte-sized Surveys tool"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Questions and Answers that emerged from the WebLearn Bytes &#8211; Surveys session on 8 November 2012:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Q:<\/strong> Can WebLearn Surveys handle branching, e.g. skip to a certain part of a survey based on a participant\u2019s response?<br \/>\n<strong>A:<\/strong> No.\u00a0A possible solution is to put the branching instructions in the question wording.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Q:<\/strong> What is the difference between a \u2018Multiple Choice Question\u2019 and a \u2018Multiple Answer Question\u2019?<br \/>\n<strong>A:<\/strong> For a \u2018Multiple Choice Question\u2019, a survey participant can select only one option whereas a \u2018Multiple Answer Question\u2019 (Multiple Response question) allows more than one option to be selected. The convention is that a multiple choice question uses radio buttons to indicate the options, whereas a multiple response question uses check boxes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Q:<\/strong> Can a WebLearn Survey allow a time restriction in which to answer the questions?<br \/>\n<strong>A:<\/strong> No.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Q:<\/strong> Is there a limit to the number of respondents for any survey?<br \/>\n<strong>A:<\/strong> No, a survey can be taken by as many respondents as you wish.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Q:<\/strong> Does the exported output provide a unique identifier for each respondent?<br \/>\n<strong>A:<\/strong> By default, the surveys are anonymous.\u00a0 However, you can ask participants to type in either their name or a unique ID for the first question in your survey.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Q:<\/strong> Can respondents edit their responses and, if so, up to what point?<br \/>\n<strong>A:<\/strong> If you set up a survey which has to be taken by logging into WebLearn, you can configure the survey to allow respondents to edit their responses before the survey is closed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Questions and Answers that emerged from the WebLearn Bytes &#8211; Surveys session on 8 November 2012: Q: Can WebLearn Surveys handle branching, e.g. skip to a certain part of a survey based on a participant\u2019s response?
